TCV Legislative Recap
A quick overview of the year
As many of you know, the General Assembly adjourned April 22nd. We helped stop some bad bills and helped pass some good bills, but it is clear that we have a long way to go with a General Assembly that, for the most part, is simply not speaking our language when it comes to environmental matters.
With that in mind, it was especially great to meet so many of you at Earth Day events across the mid-state. The more people we have writing, calling, or emailing their legislators, the more we will be able to move the needle on important issues. We are always looking for more people interested in environmental and conservation public policy, so if you know anyone who wants to be on the list, feel free to forward or tell them to contact us for their own copy. Please don't hesitate to email Tennessee Conservation Voters (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions or concerns about environmental legislation in the state!
With the General Assembly adjourned, we have more time to devote to other aspects of our mission of creating an informed and effective electorate. If you would like Tennessee Conservation Voters to speak to your group about the legislative session or how to advocate effectively at the state level, respond to this email and we will make it happen.
